3.7 cm L.98 Flak 36 Anti-Aircraft Gun
German 3.7 cm Flak 18/36 anti-aircraft guns had an expensive four-wheeled carriage which was soon replaced by a more practical two-wheeled carriage similar to that of the 2 cm FlaK 30. This new version was known as 3.7 cm Flak 36, which in turn was replaced by the 3.7 cm Flak 37 when the improved Flakvisier 40 anti-aircraft sights became available for this weapon. Few of these upgraded guns were produced, and they were eventually replaced by the 3.7 cm Flak 43 which had a better rate of fire than the earlier 37 mm anti-aircraft guns. The Roco model shown here is a 3.7 cm Flak 36 (Sfl) self-propelled anti-aircraft gun mounted on a Mercedes truck.
