Confederate Staunton Artillery

Officer and men of the Staunton Artillery at the Reenactment of the Battle of Five Forks. The event was held at the US Artillery Kaserne in Babenhausen, Germany. The historical camp and battle reenactment on the weekend of 1st - 4th June 2000 is one example of the annual campaign activity of the Staunton Artillery and other participating units. Reenactors study an historical period in such detail that they are able to create a very accurate presentation of past events. Many of the uniform and equipment items are handmade by the reenactors wearing them. Weapons and other difficult to reproduce items are purchased at specialist shops catering to reenactors and collectors.
