If the firing weapon’s crew cannot see the target, it must be in contact with an observer who can direct the fire.

  1. Estimate the range from the firing weapon to the target, in inches, then measure to locate the actual target point. If the firing weapon is off-board, the estimate and the subsequent measurement are taken from a point at the firer’s base line.

  2. Throw 2 D6 (red/white) for each shell, and consult the shell deviation table. For off-board fire, treble all deviation figures.

  3. Any soldiers or soft vehicles caught in the blast radius of a shell have to be thrown for:

    1, 2, 3 = eliminated
    4, 5, 6 = unharmed
  4. A gun can only be destroyed if the blast centre is within 0.25" of the breech block, and the shell is larger than 40 mm. Shells over 80 mm in diameter need to be within 0.5" to effect a breech block:

    1, 2, 3 = destroyed
    4, 5, 6 = no effect
