Brittling and Breakage of a Plasty Indian

Plastic Corrosion due to Oxygen and UV Radition

Brittling and Breakage of an antique Plasty Indian in 1:32 Scale

This antique Plasty Indian has brittled to such an extend that the stress of his plug-in legs was sufficient to burst the torso. The shoulder joint is broken as well, but the left arm still fits well and does not fall off when handled. The warrior may be provisionally repaired, using modelling wax, to keep this wargame figur in play a while longer. However, the thermoplastic material will continue to brittle and the Indian is destined to disintegrate completely in the foreseeable future.
