Brittling and Arm Disintegration of a Timpo 1:32 Scale Indian

Plastic Corrosion due to Oxygen and UV Radition

Brittling and Arm Disintegration of a Timpo 1:32 Scale Indian

The torso of this antique Timpo Indian has reached a glassy brittleness due to ultraviolet radiation and oxygen corrosion, and the minimal stress of a tight-fitting tomahawk was enough to split the hand. Upon closer inspection of the damaged figure, the left arm snapped off at the biceps and disintegrated into two fragments.
