Advancing
Advancing, meaning 1) to move up in military rank (see Advancement), 2) the movement forward against the enemy. The latter refers either generally to the capture of some kind of terrain from the enemy, or, more specifically, to the forward march of a military formation in line (see forging ahead, going forward, moving forward, pushing forward).
The photo shows Estonian soldiers of the Kexholmski Infantry Regiment of the Russian Army advancing. These 15 mm Heritage Miniatures were painted with artist acrylic paints, and they are mounted for the Empire III Napoleonic Wargame Rules.
