Citadel 16 »Worm Purple«, the skin colour of purple worms and the colour of the head, hands and ribbed body parts of Tyranid Genestealers, appears to have been replaced by Citadel Layer 22-10 »Genestealer Purple« even if this new colour is noticeably lighter than the classic »Worm Purple«.
Citadel 16 »Worm Purple« is thought to have been a Chinacridon Violett (PV 19), deeper and slightly more bluish than Citadel 25 »Imperial Purple«. Humbrol MC26 »Royal Purple« appears to be a good match, as is Vallejo Model Color 70.810 »Royal Purple«.
