Drab

Drab.

Drab, the dull, dust or earth brown colour of natural homespun wool. Introduced in 1848 by the Corps of Guides of the Punjab Frontier Force (PFF), the »Drab« uniform colour was named »Khaki« (»soil-coloured«) by Urdu-speaking soldiers of the British Indian Army.

»Drab« is also known as »Khaki Drab«, »Brown Drab«, or »Field Drab« (FS 30118) to differentiate it from the dark olive green colour »Olive Drab«.
