Mitis Green

Mitis Green (Vert de Vienne, Vienna, Kirchberg, Original or New Green), a colour first produces by Mitis in Vienna in 1814, related to Schweinfurt Green and used in fine painting, is obtained by dissolving one part verdigris in vinegar and one part arsenic acid in water and boiling the mixture until crystals form. Mitis green is richer in arsenic and has a more bluish tint than Schweinfurt Green.
