Reseda Green

Reseda green (mignonette green), the greyish olive green colour of dyer‘s weed (Reseda luteola), introduced in 1915 as the trim colour on the German Feldrock M15 field tunic. After World War II, reseda green served as the base colour for machinery; see Chrome Green.

The Feldgrau field grey introduced by the German Wehrmacht in 1937 corresponded to a pale reseda green. However, over the course of the war, large quantities of “field grey” fabric were produced that deviated significantly from this official shade.
