Ventre de biche
Ventre de biche (French, »doe belly«), colour designation used in French sources to describe the pale yellow ochre coat colour of the Volontaires Étrangers de Clermont-Prince, or the facing colour of the Volontaires du Dauphiné. Ventre-de-biche is often translated as »buff«, the pale yellowish-brown or light beige colour of chamois leather. Lighter and less yellowish than straw, the best match for »Ventre de biche« appears to be a tinted beige or titanium buff.
