Good choice of subject, the MTU-12 bridge-layer tank entered service with the Soviet armed forces in 1955 and was replaced by the MTU-20 from 1963 onwards.
The ESPEWE MTU-12 bridge-layer tank was sold fully assembled, ready to play. Mould lines and sprue on the hull, tracks, and the vehicle launched bridge need to be removed prior to painting.
The dark olive green plastic of the ESPEWE model is a good match for Humbrol 114 »Russian Green«. The model may be used unpainted, but it does look much better with a two or three colour camouflage pattern and a little weathering.
Good value for money, the antique ESPEWE 1:87 scale MTU-12 bridge-layer tank is available for little money at flea markets and online auctions.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, and Wespe Models.
The ESPEWE 1:87 scale MTU-12 bridge-laying tank is perfect for wargames and dioramas of the Cold War. While the ESPEWE model is no longer in production, it can be found cheaply at flea markets, model railway shows, and auctions.
