Falx (Latin; plural falces), sickle, sickle-shaped tool (e.g., falx muralis, a pole with a sickle-shaped iron end, used by the Romans during sieges to demolish walls, dams, and the like). The Romans also used the term falx for the 50 to 130 cm long curved sword of the ancient Dacians.
