Gun Metal
Gun Metal (red brass, leaded red brass), s. brass; an alloy of 88 % copper, 10 % tin, and 2 % zinc or lead, used for bronze gun barrels. In military modelling, the term »gun metal« is often mistakenly used to describe the colour of wrought iron or blued steel.
