Horch 108 “Type 40”
A Herpa 1:87 scale Kfz. 70 Mannschaftskraftwagen personnel carrier, a late version heavy 4×4 car (s.gl.Pkw) Horch 108 “Type 40” with internally mounted spare wheel. The model has soft rubber tires that are already showing signs of plastic corrosion. Consequently, a piece of the tire has broken off the left rear wheel. The previous owner of this used personnel carrier mistakenly affixed a Balkenkreuz, a national emblem that was only prescribed for combat vehicles. The Horch 108 “Type 40” is well suited as a section transport for motorized Panzergrenadiers.
