Kleingerät
Kleingerät (Ger., “small equipment”), as opposed to Großgerät, military equipment carried by the individual soldier or transported on vehicles, i. e. file boxes, drills, rangefinders, field glasses, radios, generators, hand lamps, fuel canisters, map and dispatch cases, gauges, communication devices, compasses, small X-ray devices, flashlights, entrenching tools, boxes and suitcases for veterinary equipment, storage boxes, toolboxes etc.
In the Imperial German Army and Reichsarmee, Kleingerät was painted »Field Grey No. 2, RAL 7009«1, superseded by »Field Grey No. 3, RAL 6006« from 1935 to 1945, or »Black Grey RAL 7021«, if the equipment was carried on dark grey vehicles.
