High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle HMMWV (Hum-Vee)

High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle HMMWV (Hum-Vee).

The Hum-Vee light 4×4 utility vehicle was first introduced in 1985, and it has almost completely replaced the famous Jeep in the US Armed Forces. The Hum-Vee carries more passengers than the Jeep, it has a greater cargo capacity, and it serves as a versatile weapons platform for TOW anti-tank missiles, Mk. 19 automatic grenade launcher, M60 light machine gun, .50 Caliber M2 Browning Machine Gun, or M242 25 mm autocannon. M996 TOW Missile Carrier, M997 Maxi-Ambulance, and M1025 Patrol variants of the Hum-Vee are lightly armoured for use in the combat zone. Several model kits of the Hum-Vee are available today, but the only 1:72 scale reproduction is a die-cast vehicle produced by CDC.
