7.5 cm Infantry Support Gun 37
A simple conversion for wargamers and diorama builders, in which a Matchbox 1:76 scale 3.7 cm PaK 36 is fitted with a scratchbuilt muzzle brake of the 7.5 cm Infanteriegeschütz 37. This IG 37 looks quite convincing at first glance, but probably won‘t fool a rivet-counter.
The barrel of the 3.7 mm PaK is shortened slightly and carefully drilled out with a 0.5 mm micro drill. Then, a fine steel pin or a sewing needle is glued into the barrel, and the homemade muzzle brake, which has also been drilled through, is threaded onto it.
The Matchbox 1:76 scale 3.7 cm PaK 36 is a robust and readily available model that is ideally suited for conversion to a 7.5 cm Infanteriegeschütz 37.
