M62 Wrecker
ROCO 1:87 Scale Vehicle Review

The ROCO 1:87 scale Truck, 5-ton, 6×6, M62, Medium Wrecker (G-744) is based on the Truck, 5-ton, 6×6, M39 which was built from 1951 to 1969 for the US Armed Forces. The model is a re-release, which differs from its predecessor (ROCO 193) primarily in its soft rubber tires.
The M62 Wrecker has many moving parts. The crane can be rotated, the telescopic boom extended and retracted, the support arms mounted under the truck bed, and the oxygen and acetylene cylinders removed from the vehicle.
The model is sold fully assembled, ready to play. Mould lines and sprue need to be removed prior to painting.
The used review vehicle in our inventory has soft rubber tires which, at the time of this review, show the first signs of flat-spotting, but do not yet exhibit any stickiness or deterioration.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by ESPEWE, Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, and Wespe Models.
The M62 Wrecker seems to be quite popular with collectors, it only occasionally appears at auctions and flea markets.
