ROCO 1:87 Scale Vehicle Review
The ROCO 1:87 scale Truck, 2½-ton, 6×6, Shop Van, GMC CCKW-353 with open cab is a signal corps van based on the iconic “Deuce-and-a-half” truck of World War Two. The van body is similar to the K-53 signal corps van, it has three antenna mounts, two at the front and one at the right rear, and it lacks the many windows of the ST-5 or ST-6 standardized van bodies.
The model is sold fully assembled, ready to play. Mould lines and sprue need to be removed prior to painting.
The used review vehicle in our inventory has soft rubber tires which, at the time of this review, show no signs of flat-spotting, stickiness or deterioration.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by ESPEWE, Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, and Wespe Models.
The ROCO Truck, 2½-ton, 6×6, Shop Van, GMC CCKW-353 with open cab is relatively new and commands a higher price at auctions and flea markets.
