8-inch (203 mm) Self-Propelled Howitzer M110

Roskopf 1:100 Scale Vehicle Review

8-inch Self-Propelled Howitzer M110, 1:100 Roskopf 114.

The Roskopf 1:100 scale 8-inch self-propelled howitzer M110 is the short-barreled version (L/25 caliber length) which entered service with the U.S. Army in 1963, and served throughout the Vietnam War. The weapon system was upgraded to the longer-barreled M110A1 version in 1977, and to the final M110A2 version with double-baffle muzzle brake in 1978.

The gun crew consists of 13 soldiers, the gun commander, driver, and three gunners who ride the self-propelled gun, and eight ammunition numbers in an M548 cargo carrier.

The M110 self-propelled howitzer is sold fully assembled, ready to play. The spade can be lowered into firing position, the howitzer elevates and traverses, and the hydraulic rammer tray swivels.

Measuring 66 × 32 × 30 mm, the model conforms to 1:100 scale very well.

The Roskopf M110 self-propelled howitzer is unique in this scale; it is very well suited for Cold War simulation games and dioramas.
