Schwerpunkt

Schwerpunkt (Ger., center of gravity), militarily, as much as the main point of attack, i. e. the point that is chosen for an attack [or counter-attack in defense] or evolves into a main point of attack under the circumstances of the engagement; by definition, the Schwerpunkt is the point of deepest penetration of the enemy front line, so it automatically has Anschluss, i. e. the lead, and neighbouring units guide their movements on it.
