Wood Sheets from Chip Baskets

Wood Sheets from Chip Baskets.

This wood chip basket from an organic food store yields 350 cm² of wood sheet with a thickness of 0.7 mm, plus 80 cm of wood strip 10 mm wide and 0.4 mm thick, and 250 g of mushrooms for a delicious risotto. The resulting wood sheets correspond almost exactly to a one-inch board at 1:32 scale, and to a 52 mm thick plank, or battery plank at 1:72 scale. The rough-sawn wood sheets are well-suited for fences, palisades, parapets, bedding, huts, barracks, shelters and similar field fortifications, field bridges, shingles, barns, and other buildings whose roofs or facades are intended to appear weathered. If smooth boards or planks are required, the chipboard can be sanded accordingly with fine sandpaper.
