A.12 Infantry Tank Mark II
Matilda Mk II
1-87 World Tanks Depot 1:87 Scale Vehicle Review

A 1-87 World Tanks Depot Matilda II painted in a desaturated desert sand colour very similar to Gunze TC 4 »Khaki Brown«, which is much too dark to represent B.S.C. № 61 »Light Stone« or № 64 »Portland Stone« in this scale.
The Matilda is sold fully assembled and painted, ready to play. Cast in white metal, this A.12 Infantry Tank Mark II weighs 112 g. Not a problem, if one or two models are to be used in a skirmish game, but the weight quickly adds up if an entire squadron of Matilda infantry tanks were to be deployed.
The metal is relatively soft, suggestive of a high lead content.
The Matilda sports no divisional markings, but the tactical sign of a red “2” within a red square indicates that it is the troop commander‘s vehicle of 2 Troop, B Squadron of the senior regiment in its brigade.
The vehicle still needs to be weathered, and it should be protected with a layer of clear varnish to reduce the risk of the enamel paint chipping off.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, ROCO, and Wespe Models.
Being unique in this scale, the 1-87 World Tanks Depot Matilda II is an important model for wargamers and diorama builders.
