Tank Mark IV, Male
1-87 World Tanks Depot 1:87 Scale Vehicle Review

The 1-87 World Tanks Depot Tank Mark IV, Male is sold fully assembled and painted, ready to play. The tank is painted in a dark green camouflage paint scheme, the equivalent of Revell 361.67 »Green Grey«.
The Tank Mark IV bears the “Chinese Eyes” marking on its bow, which was painted on the tank with serial number 2341, donated by Singaporean businessman Eu Tong Sen. Produced at the William Foster & Company Ltd. tank factory in Lincoln, this Tank Mark IV had initially had a red dragon painted on its glacis plate, approved by the British War Office, before being transferred to France. Tank 2341 was assigned to F Battalion of the Tank Corps and initially held in reserve until November 1917, when, now bearing the tactical number F56, it participated in the Battle of Cambrai as “F56 Fan Tan”.
Cast in white metal, this Tank Mark IV weighs 267 g. Not a problem, if one or two models are to be used in a skirmish wargame, but the weight quickly adds up if an entire squadron of Mark IVs were to be deployed.
The vehicle still needs to be weathered, and it should be protected with a layer of clear varnish to reduce the risk of the enamel paint chipping off. As can be seen in the photo, paint has already chipped off the bent gun barrel.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, ROCO, and Wespe Models.
