Spare track sections attached to a certain vehicle hit location count as +25 mm of additional armour. Note that target areas obscured by terrain or similar obstacles cannot be hit or penetrated.

Key to Hit Locations:

M = Gun Mantlet; F = Front; S = Side; R = Rear; T = Top; B = Bottom

s = Sloped Armour, add 34 % to penetration 2D10 dice throw.
a = Angled Armour, add 18 % to penetration 2D10 dice throw.
r = Rounded Armour, add 10 % to penetration 2D10 dice throw.

Inclination of Armour, sloped, angled, or rounded, effectively increases the armour thickness at the point of impact. To account for this effect, a 34 %, 18 %, or 10 % modifier is added to the penetration dice throw, making it more difficult to penetrate the target armour. In addition, depending on the firing range, Loss of Velocity will reduce the armour penetration effect of the shell.
