115th Régiment Allemand, Royal-Pologne, Seven Years’ War, 1757–1760.

On November 25, 1747, Pierre-Grégoire, Comte d‘Orlick established a German foreign regiment for service in the French Army. The 115th Regiment was one battalion strong and fought in the Seven Years‘ War at Hastenbeck, Roßbach, Sandershausen, Lutterberg, Bergen, and Minden. On January 18, 1760, the Regiment Royal-Pologne was incorporated into the Regiment Royal-Suédois.

  • blue vest with white metal buttons
  • white breeches
  • white gaiters with white metal buttons
  • black tricorne hat with white edging and white cockade of ribbon
  • Grenadiers wore beards, and sabres, and from 1759 bearskin caps
