French 38th Infantry Regiment de Condé, Seven Years’ War, 1756–1763

The French 38th Infantry Regiment de Condé fought in the Seven Years‘ War at Hastenbeck, Hanover, Roßbach, Halberstadt, Burg Regenstein, Quedlinburg, Minden, Kassel, Meppen, and Johannisberg. These fusiliers and grenadiers are rare 15 mm pewter figures from Mike’s Models. The 38th Infantry Regiment de Condé is mounted on a stand measuring 76 mm wide by 38 mm deep, designed for infantry regiments in the Volley & Bayonet game system. The colonel‘s colour and the ordonnance colours are hand-painted.

Uniform
The État militaire de France, pour l’Année 1758 describes the uniform of infantry regiment de Condé as follows: Habit blanc, culotte de même, parements, collet & veste rouges, boutons jaunes, pattes ordinaires garnies de cinq boutons & autant sur la manche, chapeau bordé d‘or.
White coat, breeches of the same colour; red cuffs, collar, and waistcoat; yellow buttons; horizontal pocket flaps “ordinaires” trimmed with five buttons, with the same number on the sleeve; hat edged with gold.
Lucien Mouillard, on the other hand, depicts the uniform of the Condé Infantry Regiment as follows:
- white coat with yellow metal buttons
- horizontal coat pockets “ordinaires” with 5 buttons
- red collar
- red cuffs with 4 buttons
- white turnbacks with red hearts

- white breeches
- white gaiters with yellow metal buttons
