Our own »Lustreless Olive Drab 319« acrylic paint mixture, consisting of equal parts Lascaux Studio 961 »Yellow Ochre« and PRIMAcryl 13.792 »Ivory Black«, compared to Tamiya XF-62 »Olive Drab«, which Steve Zaloga considers the best match for wartime »Lustreless Olive Drab 319«, and Humbrol 66 »Olive Drab«.
Both, Tamiya »Olive Drab« and our mixture of »Lustreless Olive Drab 319« need to be tinted with dark yellow or ochre to account for aerial perspective. Humbrol 66 »Olive Drab« appears to have been tinted with white, which resulted in a hue shift to grey-green.
