The Roskopf 1:100 scale BTR-50PK armored personnel carrier is a conversion of the BTR-50P, to which a separate armoured roof has been added. The missing 7.62 mm SGMB Goryunov machine gun may be scrounged from a Roskopf BTR-60P Armoured Personnel Carrier.

Excellent choice of subject, the BTR-50PK amphibious armoured personnel carrier is still in service in many armed forces around the world.
The Roskopf BTR-50PK was sold fully assembled, ready to play. Mould lines and sprue at the bow, the track guards, drive sprockets and return rollers need to be removed prior to painting.
The dark olive green plastic of the Roskopf model is a good match for Humbrol 114 »Russian Green«. The model may be used unpainted, but it does look much better with a two or three colour camouflage pattern and a little weathering.
Good value for money, the antique Roskopf 1:100 scale BTR-50PK is available for little money at flea markets and online auctions.
