Khaki

Vallejo Model Color 70.988 »Khaki« is the equivalent of Federal Standard Color 30277 »Sand (№ 3)« for US Army Camouflage Patterns. The water-based acrylic paint is included in Vallejo’s »WW2 Desert Paint Set« as the base colour of British Army tropical uniforms. Included in the »British Early War Paint Set«, this sand-coloured »Khaki« and Vallejo 70.886 »Green Grey« are recommended colours for »1937 Pattern Web Equipment«.

The US Infantry Europe 1944-45 Paint Set recommends Vallejo 70.988 »Khaki« as the »Olive Drab No. 3« base colour of the M1941 Field Jacket, M1941 Tanker Jacket, M1942 Jump Uniform, and US Field Gear until late 1942, when »Olive Drab No. 7« was introduced to replace it.
