The leichter Funkpanzerwagen, Sonderkraftfahrzeug 250/3, was an armoured half-track personnel carrier with a distinctive frame antenna, serving as a command and communications vehicle for the armoured reconnaissance battalions of the Panzer and Panzergrenadier divisions of the Wehrmacht. According to the Kriegsstärkenachweis 1113 (gp) TO&E dated November 1, 1941, the armoured reconnaissance company had two Sd.Kfz. 250/3 radio vehicles in its company headquarters section, which provided radio communications between the armoured reconnaissance vehicles and company command.

Scale model with excellent detail.
Compatible with Altaya, Atlas, CDC, De Agostini, Dragon Models, Eaglemoss, ESCI, Hasegawa, Italeri, Orion, Revell, Zvezda.
The Panzerjäger tank-hunter tactical markings included in the kit should be replaced with more appropriate Panzeraufklärer armoured recce markings.
The vehicle lighting consists of two standard headlights, presumably with Schlitzblende slotted lens covers; Notek Tarnscheinwerfer blackout headlight, Abstandsrücklicht rear blackout marker light, and Bremsschlussleuchte brake-taillight are missing.
The Peilstangen guide rods on the front fenders are there, but they are much too thick and they end at the side-view mirrors; a more realistic solution involves scratchbuilding the guide rods from 0.25 mm piano wire and attaching round side-view mirrors to them.
Rack jack, antenna mounts, and personal equipment are missing.
Sonderkraftfahrzeug 250/3 may be used as an armoured command/radio vehicle in the Kompanietrupp company headquarters section of the Panzeraufklärungskompanie of the German Panzeraufklärungsabteilung armoured reconnaissance battalion.
