The ROCO 1:87 scale model of the 155 mm howitzer M1 is a nicely detailed and fully articulated artillery piece for collectors and wargamers.

Evaluation
The model has only 16 parts and is sold fully assembled, ready to play. The howitzer has a functioning split-trail carriage; the traverse and elevating mechanism are working parts, but careful handling is required to avoid breaking the delicate struts of the gun shield.
The cast-on detail is very accurate and paints well.
Compatible with HO scale model railway equipment and miniatures by Faller, Märklin, Noch, Pola, Preiser, and ROCO.
Noticeably mould lines on pneumatic tires and the base plate, sprue on the trails, ejector pin marks on the trails and the left side of the barrel, as well as merchandise marks “Austria”, “DBGM”, and the ROCO logo on the insides of the trails need to be removed prior to painting.
To add realism, the muzzle should be drilled out with a 2 mm bit.
The ROCO 155 mm howitzer M1 is an attractive artillery piece with nice detail and full articulation. While 1:87 scale models are not strictly compatible with figures and vehicles in 1:76 or 1:72 scale, they are routinely used for wargames, especially because the size difference is much less obvious with artillery pieces than with vehicles.
