Zugführer
Zugführer (ZgFhr; Ger., platoon commander), the military position of the commander of a subunit designated as a Zug (platoon); usually filled by a subaltern officer (Hauptmann or Rittmeister for the 1st Platoon; First Lieutenant for the 1st or 2nd Platoon; Second Lieutenant for the 2nd Platoon), or by an individual performing the duties of an officer (a senior non-commissioned officer, specifically a Portepee-Unteroffizier for the company‘s 3rd and 4th Platoons).
